God is extending an invitation to the cities of the earth to partner with Him in raising up praying prophetic communities and regions of refuge for the days that lie ahead. This missions movement is made up of abandoned worshipers who help tend the flame of love until Jesus' return. We function as a servant community to our city. We believe God is drawing together a priestly people whose main function within the Body of Christ is to minister to the Lord "in the beauty of holiness" and then to reveal Him to the multitudes in the nations. We believe the primary way this type of fasted lifestyle will be lived out is in context of houses of prayer and mission bases that He is birthing throughout the earth at this time.
The Prayer Furnace Chicago is a city-wide, multi-denominational, worship, and intercessory ministry. Our goal is to build a "corporate altar" on behalf of the city of Chicago where we may stand before Jesus, unified and strengthened in our unyielding love for the worthy Son of Man. The Prayer Furnace is one focal point for the churches of the city to come together in unity and pray for revival of our ministries and for the spiritual awakening of our communities to the Gospel of Jesus. We will continually cry out for God to visit our city and release a great harvest of souls, for racial reconciliation, for signs and wonders, and a powerful spiritual movement among the youth. We are committed to city-wide involvement of this ministry and ask that all staff and interns be involved in their local churches.
A MISSIONS MOVEMENT ARISING . . .
The Furnace Missions Base exists to raise up radical missionaries in the midst of a global, day and night, worship and prayer movement whose hearts are fascinated in intimacy with Jesus Christ as they are empowered to go to the ends of the earth fulfilling the mandate of the Great Commission out of the overflow of life lived out in the reality of the Great Commandment.
